We love Christmas at The Little Surprises Company and are constantly on the look out for venues and events that fill us with festive cheer. This is one of our favourites! In the majestic setting of St Margaret's Church Westminster, hundreds of Londoners gather together each year to sing all of our favourite carols and raise awareness and funding for projects run across Syria by The Hands Up Foundation.
The Hands Up Foundation does incredible work in Syria developing long term, sustainable projects delivered by Syrian locals. One of the most impressive is a project run in partnership with Syria Relief that aims to provide 190 prosthetic limbs a month to victims of the Syrian conflict as well as after care for patients so that people can get back to work, rebuilt their lives and feel less isolated and helpless.
Tomorrow evening, the carol service will include solos and readings from some incredible stars including Harry Enfield, Jane Asher and Sophie Winkleman. The service starts at 6pm, tickets are just £20 and all of the money raised will go straight into the projects being run on the ground in Syria.
